To grow isn't just about plants getting bigger! It describes the process of increasing in size, number, strength, or importance. A child grows taller each year, a company grows its profits, and your understanding of a subject grows with study. Sometimes it is about nurturing—you grow tomatoes in a garden, carefully tending to them. It can even be about developing emotionally: "She grew into a confident woman." Think of it as unfolding potential—things becoming more than they were before.
