Accommodation isn't just about finding a place to stay when you travel! It's about making things work—adjusting to new circumstances or providing what someone needs. Think of it like this: a cozy bed-and-breakfast is an accommodation for travelers, but so is learning to live with a roommate who has very different habits from yours. You might offer accommodation by being understanding about a friend's mistake, or your eye might change its focus through accommodation so you can see objects clearly at different distances. It's all about finding a comfortable balance.

The word comes from the Latin "accommodare," meaning "to fit" or "to make suitable." So when you accommodate someone, you are essentially fitting your actions or environment to their needs. A hotel provides physical accommodation; empathy can provide emotional accommodation.
