A wisher is simply a person who wishes for something or expresses a wish. Picture someone quietly hoping for better news, a child making a birthday wish, or a friend sending warm wishes before a long trip. The word is not very common in everyday English, but its meaning is clear: the person is defined, in that moment, by what they hope for or by the good wishes they give to others. Depending on the context, a wisher may be full of hope, but the word itself does not always suggest fantasy or inaction.

The word "wisher" refers to a person who wishes for something or offers good wishes to someone else.
