Description

Imagine finding a letter, a poem, or an old record written in a language you do not know. If it is untranslated, it has not been changed into another language yet. The words are still there in their original form, waiting for someone who can read them or translate them for others.

An untranslated book, subtitle, speech, or document can feel distant, even when it seems important. Sometimes something stays untranslated because nobody has done the work yet. Sometimes it is left that way on purpose, so readers or viewers meet it as it first appeared. In every case, the idea is simple: the meaning has not been given in another language.
