Description

A pest is usually a small animal or insect that causes trouble, especially in homes, gardens, or fields. Mosquitoes buzzing around your ears, mice in the pantry, or insects eating your plants are all common examples. The word can also be used for a person who is always bothering others. You might call a teasing little brother a "lovable pest" if he is annoying but you still care about him.
