Description

A lesson is not always something that happens in a classroom. It can be a school activity, a music session, or even something life teaches you the hard way. You might learn one by making a mistake, facing a problem, or hearing a story with a clear message. In simple terms, it is something that teaches you or shows you what to do, or what not to do.

Think of a fable or a story your parents told you as a child. At the end, there is often a message about being kind, careful, or honest. That message is the lesson. We also say "learned his lesson" when someone made a mistake and now understands why they should not do it again. A driving lesson, a piano lesson, and a life lesson all share the same core idea: someone learns something important.
