noun

Description

Drabness is the quality of being plain, dull, and without much color, life, or interest. Picture a long gray highway on a cloudy day, and you get the feeling at once. It can describe a place, like a room painted in faded tones, or a mood, like the feeling of doing the same task day after day. A life full of routine and very little joy can seem marked by drabness. It is often the opposite of anything lively, fresh, or bright, and it can leave people feeling bored or uninspired.
