Description

An advocate is someone who publicly supports or recommends a particular cause or policy. Think of a lawyer advocating for their client in court—they're speaking up on their behalf, fighting for what they believe is right. But you don't need to be a lawyer to be an advocate! You can be an advocate for animal rights, for environmental protection, or even just for your little brother when he's being unfairly accused of eating the last cookie. The key is passionate support.

When used as a verb, to "advocate" means to actively support or argue for something. For instance, "She advocates for better education funding." It's about stepping up and using your voice to make a difference, whether in a courtroom or a community meeting.
