Something unrecorded has not been written down, captured, or kept in an official record. Think of old stories passed from one generation to the next before anyone wrote them down. For a long time, those stories were unrecorded. The word can also describe facts, events, or numbers that were never logged or saved. A meeting with no notes, a payment missing from the books, or a moment that no one filmed can all be unrecorded. The thing may be real and important, but there is no record of it.
