The word "unpriced" describes something that does not have a stated price. Most often, it means no price is shown, no price has been fixed yet, or the seller is not giving the price openly. It can appear in shops, auctions, catalogs, property listings, and other settings where things are bought and sold. A vase on a shelf with no label, a rare book waiting for expert review, or a service that says "price on request" can all be described as unpriced.

This word does not usually mean "free." If something is free, the cost is zero. If something is unpriced, the cost may be high, low, or still unknown; the point is that the price is absent or unstated. In this sense, the word is practical and direct. "Several items at the market were unpriced, so customers had to ask the owner."

There is also a broader use. Sometimes people call a feeling, memory, or human quality unpriced to say it cannot be measured properly in money. In that kind of sentence, the word is close to "priceless," though this is not the main everyday use. "Her grandfather's letters felt unpriced, too personal and meaningful to think about as objects to sell."

In economics and public policy, the idea can stretch further. People may speak of "unpriced" harms, risks, or resources when no market price fully reflects them. Clean air, quiet streets, or damage to nature may carry real value even when that value is not neatly built into a price. Across all of these uses, the central idea stays the same: something important is present, but a clear price is not.
