undemanding

B1
adjective

Pronunciation

UK

  • /ˌʌndɪmˈɑːndɪŋ/

US

  • /ˌʌndɪmˈændɪŋ/

Description

Imagine a puppy that's happy with just food, water, and a gentle pat. That puppy is undemanding. It doesn't ask for fancy toys or a lot of attention. Something undemanding is easy to deal with because it asks little from you. An undemanding job might be simple and low-stress, while an undemanding friend is easy to be with and does not expect a lot from you. Sometimes we choose undemanding activities when we need a break from daily pressure, like reading an easy book or taking a slow walk.
