Description

An owner is a person or group that something belongs to. It could be a house, a car, a pet, a shop, or a business. Think of the proud dog owner walking through the park with their pet. That person has the legal right to keep and care for the dog. The same idea works for many other things too. A landlord is the owner of a property, and a person who starts or buys a company can be one of its owners.
