Description

A landscape isn't just what you see when you look out at nature. It's the whole arrangement of features on a piece of land. Think of rolling hills, rivers, and mountains, but also farms, towns, and roads. It's more than pretty scenery; it's the way all those parts fit together to create a place. You might paint a landscape, walk through one, or study how it changes over time.

The word can also be used figuratively. A "political landscape" is the current state of power and influence, while an "emotional landscape" describes someone's inner feelings. So it is not always about physical land. Think of Monet's paintings: they capture a scene of light and color.
