Fusion happens when separate things come together and form one new thing. You can see it in music when two styles mix into a new sound, in food when different cooking traditions meet in one dish, or in culture when ideas and customs blend over time. It is more than things simply sitting next to each other; they join in a way that creates something new.

The word is also used in science, especially for atoms joining together and giving off energy.
