someplace

"Someplace" is an informal word meaning somewhere or an unspecified place. Speakers use it when the exact place is unknown, unimportant, or left unnamed. A tired traveler might say, "I need to go someplace warm," and a parent might ask, "Did you put the bag someplace safe?" In each case, the idea is simple: there is a place in mind, but it is not being identified clearly.
