nightstand

Description

Imagine settling into bed after a long day. Where do you put your phone, the book you're reading, or your glasses? Most likely on the small table next to your bed. A nightstand is that handy little table that sits right beside the bed. It is a common piece of bedroom furniture, giving you a place for things like a lamp, an alarm clock, a glass of water, or anything else you want close by before you sleep or when you wake up. Many also have a drawer or shelf for small personal items.
