The word "lory" refers to a group of relatively small, vibrantly colored parrots belonging to the tribe Loriini. These birds are native to the diverse landscapes of Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and other islands across the Indo-Australian region. What truly sets lories apart from most other parrots is their specialized anatomy and diet: they primarily feed on nectar, pollen, and soft fruits.
