Similarly, a forthcoming witness in court will answer questions honestly and without hesitation. It is also used in a third sense to describe the availability of resources; for instance, if you apply for a loan and the money is "not forthcoming," it means the funds are not being provided or made available.

It's helpful to note the nuance between "forthright" and "forthcoming." While both involve honesty, being forthright is about being direct and blunt in manner, whereas being forthcoming is specifically about the willingness to provide information or help.
