Description

This is not just the alcohol found in drinks. It is also a useful chemical made by fermenting sugars from plants such as corn and sugarcane. Most people know it as the part of beer, wine, and spirits that can cause intoxication, but it has other everyday uses too. It is often mixed with gasoline as a fuel additive, and it is also used as a solvent in labs, cleaning products, and hand sanitizer.
