Imagine a tiny, coiled tube resting along the back of each testicle. That is the epididymis. Sperm are made in the testes, but they are not fully ready at first. They spend time in this tube, where they mature, gain the ability to move, and are stored until ejaculation. If this part becomes inflamed, it can cause pain and may affect fertility. It may be small, but it plays an important part in male reproductive health.
